National Bank of Pakistan is the largest bank in Pakistan in terms of profit, deposits, number of branches and employees. Ever since its inception, the bank has played a pioneering role in shaping the future of the banking industry in Pakistan. The bank now has 1250 branches in Pakistan and 31 Overseas Branches/Offices in 18 countries covering all the time zones.

National Bank of Pakistan (Bangladesh Operations)
The Bank opened its branch in Dhaka in August, 1994. The bank opened its 2nd Branch in April 2004 at Agrabad, Chittagong in Bangladesh to extend state-of-the-art computerization banking service to the people of the port city and commercial capital of Bangladesh.
The Bank opened its 3rd branch at Sylhet, (Metropolitan Market, SobhaniGhat),Sylhet on 01st April, 2008 in Bangladesh to cater the banking services to the people of the south-east region of the country.
The bank opened its 4th Branch on 03rd April, 2008 at Gulshan, (80, Gulshan Avenue), Dhaka in Bangladesh to extend the banking service to the elite group of the aristocratic area as well as for all the people of the northern zone of the country. The bank also shifted its Controlling office for Bangladesh operations at Gulshan, (80, Gulshan Avenue), Dhaka.
International Business:International business is one of the major successes of income of the bank. The bank is giving proper care to serve the importer and exporter of various items with its officers having expertise in the respective field. During last year i.e. 2005 the bank handled export and import business to the tune of TK. 549 Crore & Tk 469 crore respectively.
Swift:The bank is a member of SWIFT (NBPNBDDH) which provides a fast, secured and accurate communication network for financial transaction.
