Dhaka, 24 February, 2021:

A half day long live online research workshop on ‘Implementation

Challenges of Security Operation Center in Banks of Bangladesh’ was

held at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) on 24

February,2021. Ahmed Jamal, Chairman of BIBM Executive Committee

and Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank was present in the program as

the chief guest. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Director General of BIBM

Chaired the Program. Mohammed Sohail Mustafa, Associate Professor

& Director (Training and Certification Programs) of BIBM delivered

welcome address.

A paper titled ‘Implementation Challenges of Security Operation Center

in Banks of Bangladesh’ was presented in the program by Md.

Mahbubur Rahman Alam, Associate Professor of BIBM. Other members

of the research team are Kaniz Rabbi, Assistant Professor of BIBM; S.N

Tofayel Ahmed, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank; B.M. Zahidul

Haque, Head of Information Security of BRAC Bank Limited.

Professor Barkat-e-Khuda, Dr.Muzaffer Ahmed Chair Professor of

BIBM; Anis A. Khan, Vice Chairman of Metropolitan Chamber of

Commerce and Industry, Dhaka; Debdulal Roy, Executive Director of

Bangladesh Bank; Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Managing Director & CEO

of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited; S.M. Mainuddin Chowdhury,

Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited;

Shyamol Baron Das, Chief Digital Officer of Mutual Trust Bank

Limited spoke among others.

A good number of participants including senior bank executives,

academicians, media representatives, faculty members of BIBM took

part in the Facebook live research workshop.
